Scholarships & Financial Assistance
The University and College of Health and Human Sciences offer various scholarships for enrolled, eligible students. Information can be obtained from the Office of Student Financial Aid. Students admitted to the MSW program may contact the Director of Student and Community Services regarding assistantships.
Allied Health Scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding students enrolled in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Recipients are selected on the basis of need, scholastic ability, residence in one of nine southern states, and good character. Further information can be obtained from the Office of Student Financial Aid. Obtain additional information on Pell Grants and various federal loan programs.
Marshall L. Bowie College of Health and Human Sciences Scholarship was established in memory of Marshall L. Bowie, associate dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences. Scholarships are awarded annually to full-time students in good academic standing enrolled in a professional program in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Students must be recommended by a faculty member, and selection priority will be given for community service, and for involvement in college and university activities.
Federal Work Study Programs –UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
Georgia State University's Office of Community Service offers Federal Work Study Programs. If you are approved for federal work study you can use our exciting volunteer opportunities to enrich yourself and fill your work study hour requirement.
Graduate Research Assistantships are funded through individual faculty or research grants in the school, and are available for one academic semester at a time. Students are expected to assist in a research project in return for paid tuition. Interested students should contact the Director of Student and Community Services, after admission has been confirmed.
