Research

Faculty in all departments and schools in the college are engaged in a variety of research endeavors. Research activities range from studies on health and exercise among elders, aerosol medication delivery, sports nutrition, asthma in children, grandparents raising grandchildren, secondary victimization among the families of capital offenders, youth gangs, and substance abuse to improved methods of analyzing crime data and program evaluation. Research in the college is both discipline specific and interdisciplinary across units and other colleges.

Combining research activities with public service is another common thread. Funding sources vary from internal college and university funding to external agencies including federal and state agencies and private foundations. Information on specific individual faculty research, grants, and publications can be found in About the Faculty.
