Gordon Seagraves Cummings Scholarship
Professor Gordon Cummings taught in the Georgia State University Physical Therapy Department for 27 years. This award was established to recognize those individuals whose work, like that of Professor Cummings, promotes self-learning, critical thinking, caring and competence. These individuals "see" with their hands, assess outcomes and "do, do, do."

Virgil Jacobs Scholarship
This award was created in memory of Dr. Virgil Jacobs, anatomist in the Division of Physical Therapy. The faculty selects a student who has demonstrated outstanding scholarly anatomical competence and who best exemplifies Dr. Jacobs' qualities of intelligence, compassion, fairness, honesty and sincerity.
