  • DPT Program Holds Inaugural White Coat Ceremony for Class of 2010

  • Georgia State Physical Therapy Students Participate in the Pittsburgh-Marquette Challenge

    The Pittsburgh-Marquette Challenge is a grassroots fundraising effort coordinated and carried out by PT and PTA students around the country each year.  The money is given to the Foundation for Physical Therapy to assist in the mission of funding physical therapy research. 

    Georgia State Physical Therapy students sold 250 tickets to the April 19th Braves game.    Students, friends, family, and faculty had a wonderful evening at Turner Field.  While the Braves lost to the Cubs that night, the Foundation for Physical Therapy won, as the Georgia State students raised $1000 to support critically-needed PT research.
     
    Combined with other fund-raising events, the students have raised over $1400 this year for Research.  Well Done, PT Students!

  • Georgia State University is the First Public Institution in Georgia to be Granted the DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) degree.
    PT began accepting DPT students with the class of 2008 in Fall 2005.

  • Physical Therapy Department Granted Accreditation Status
    The APTA Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, after a thorough review, has granted the Physical Therapy Department of Georgia State University Accreditation status for a period of ten years on the program's satisfactory compliance with the evaluative criteria.
