Georgia State Students, Alumni, and Faculty Present Research at APTA Combined Sections Meeting in Las Vegas.
Ga State PT faculty, alumni, and students presented 5 platforms or posters at the 2009 Combined Sections Meeting. Deborah Michael, PT, DPT, CPEd, and Jeannette Anderson, PT, MPT, presented “An Interdisciplinary Service-Learning Experience and Its Effects on Physical Therapy Students’ Perceptions of Community Health Needs and Other Health Care Providers.” Joined by DPT students, Kate Benton, Ashley Currie, and Michelle Hardy, their platform presentation generated a lot of discussion about community engagement and service-learning.
