Student Organizations

The Nutrition Student Network (NSN) is an officially chartered student organization at Georgia State University. It provides a forum for students interested in nutrition to interact with each other, participate in community service/volunteer projects, promote visibility of nutrition within the Georgia State community, and learn about the profession of nutrition/dietetics career path. NSN holds monthly meetings.

Examples of NSN activities include:

Presenting classroom activities to students in grades 2-5 focusing on MyPyramid.
Participating in community activities, such as Merrick’s Walk, Healthy Kids Day, and Fit Fair.
Conducting National Nutrition Month activities, such as conducting lunch-and-learn programs, working at the Atlanta Food Bank, and participating in the Georgia Food Festival.
Hosting speakers on food and nutrition topics.
