Nutrition Student Network Participates in the 5th Annual Merrick's Walk
Members of the Nutrition Student Network at Georgia State University participated in the 5th annual Merrick's Walk. Merrick's Walk is in memory of Merrick Ryan, a 19-year-old girl who lost her battle with anorexia in 2000. All proceeds from the walk benefit the outreach programs of EDIN (Eating Disorders Information Network), whose mission is to address eating disorders on a societal level. In addition to walking the 2.6 mile course around Chastain Park and providing nutrition information to participants, NSN members raised money through t-shirt sales to donate to Merrick's Walk and EDIN.
