Comments from the Professor

I became interested in gerontology through coursework obtained at Georgia State in the Sociology Department's Gerontology Program. I decided that working with older adults was going to be a growing and dynamic specialty area in nutrition. The aging of the "baby boomers" has made this true. I used this coursework as my emphasis area in my PhD program. Therefore, I was able to gain new knowledge and skills while fulfilling requirements for my Ph.D.
