Induction was held on May 7, 2006
Nursing
students Melissa Smith and Christina Booker recently participated in the Georgia
State University Legislative Reception. The students gave blood pressure
checks to the legislators and other guests.
The Georgia Nurse's Association Annual Legislative Event
was held Thursday, January 26, 2006 in Atlanta. This year the GNA event was coordinated with the United Advanced Practice Nurses of Georgia annual
rally at the state capitol.

Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing Alumni Association Brunch [April
11, 2005]
An alumni brunch was held on Saturday, March 19, 2005. Thirty alumni and faculty
attended.
CNS Student Receives Prestigious National Award
[March 29, 2005]
Merrill Howard, CNS student, recently received the Josh Gottheil Memorial Bone
Marrow Transplant Career Development Award. This award is presented by the
Oncology Nursing Society, and is conferred for meritorious practice in bone
marrow transplant nursing. Congratulations to her!
