Welcome to the Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing! We are delighted that you have chosen Georgia State University for your master’s education. We have a very strong clinical program with a certification pass rate of greater than 95% across the specialty areas.
As a new student you will need to obtain the following:
Once you obtain your uLearn account you must access the Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC) in uLearn. You will need to review the PowerPoint orientation presentations, plus tutorials of uLearn and Elluminate Live, our web conferencing software. All students are to review the general orientation and the resource orientation. RN-MS students are to also review the orientation that is designated specifically for you. You are responsible for knowing this information. We have made most of this information available to you at this website however, please use uLearn’s GSRC to access any presentations not available here.
Your GSU network user ID also serves as your uLearn user ID; and your GoSOLAR PIN will serve as your initial password for uLearn. After you obtain your GSU network ID, please send an email to Miguel Muirhead at mmuirhead1@gsu.edu and include your network ID. Miguel will then enter your ID into our system which will allow you to access GSRC in uLearn. If you have any difficulty in accessing uLearn, please contact Miguel.
The GSRC in uLearn includes information regarding the following:
- Orientation to the RN-MSN and master’s programs (as applicable) [REQUIRED]
- Onsite technology orientation schedule for Elluminate Live (MANDATORY)
- Onsite and Elluminate Live (online synchronous classes) training and class schedules
- Agenda for the onsite resource and technology orientation
- Computer specifications
- Headset specifications
