We have been contracted to locate a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Robins AFB.

The candidate will be performing the following functions:

• Supervise and provide general screening and medical care of all patients for routine, acute, and chronic conditions involving all organ systems
• Order diagnostic tests when applicable
• Have ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly
• Train new personnel

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Must have an approved and current Nurse Practitioner’s license/certificate
• Have a Masters degree from an approved nurse practitioner program
• Have a minimum of 24 months experience within the last 36 months

1) Nurse Practitioner Provides medical care to hospitalized in-patients under the direction of a supervising physician in the Piedmont Heart Institute program located at Newnan Hospital. Examines, evaluates, and treats patients with medical conditions, illness or injuries. Advise patients on the maintenance of good health. Perform histories and physical exams. Prepare admission orders. Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records. Provides patient education. Communicates with physicians daily on the status of their patients. Facilitates transfers from other facilities. Assists utilization management team as needed. Ability to work in crisis situations. At least one year of hospital-based work experience preferred. Cardiology experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal , communications and customer service skills required. Must be a strong team player, pay attention to details and have the ability to multi-task. Computer literacy required. Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree; graduate of certified Physician Assistant program. Licensure as a PA by the State of Georgia and passed national certification from the NCCPA. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current GA License for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing. Comments: This position will require work on Holidays and Weekends.

Examines, evaluates, and treats patients with medical conditions, illness or injuries. Advise patients on the maintenance of good health. Perform histories and physical exams. Prepare admission orders. Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records. Provides patient education. Communicates with referring physicians daily on the status of their patients. Facilitates transfers from other facilities. Assists utilization management team as needed. Ability to work in crisis situations. Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree; graduate of certified Physician Assistant program. Licensure as a PA by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physician Assistants. State of GA licensure as a PA is required or Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current GA License for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing. Three years professional hospital-based work experience.
