College-wide Scholarships

Daniel J. Sansone Memorial Scholarship for Undergraduate Students in Nursing or Respiratory Therapy interested in Pediatrics: This scholarship was established in memory of Daniel Sansone, who dedicated his life to providing compassionate care to children and adults. The award is available to assist undergraduate students enrolled in either nursing or respiratory therapy who are interested in pediatric care. All applicants must have financial need.

Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship
Applications are accepted for the fall and spring semesters for the Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship. The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation Scholarship is for female, undergraduate students enrolled in the professional health programs of nursing, nutrition, and respiratory therapy. Pre-nursing, pre-nutrition, or pre-respiratory therapy students are not eligible for the scholarship. Please click here for applicaiton.

Marshall L. Bowie College of Health and Human Sciences Scholarship
Applications are now available online for the 2009-2010 Marshall L. Bowie College of Health and Human Sciences Scholarship. The application deadline is Friday, December 4, 2009. Applications, including the personal statement, will be submitted online ONLY. One letter of recommendation from a faculty member must be submitted to the Office of Academic Assistance, 811 UL by the December 4th deadline. Two $2,000 scholarships are awarded annually to full-time students in the college. The awards are open to undergraduate and graduate students. Selection priority is given for academic record, community service, and College of Health and Human Sciences/Georgia State University involvement. Recipients will not be announced until February 2010. Notification of decision on application will only be made by letter via US mail.
