- Criminal Justice
The term ‘criminal justice’ refers to public safety agencies, courts, and corrections as a system for the administration of city, county, state and federal laws.
- Health Professions
The School of Health Professions encompasses the following divisions: Division of Nutrition, Division of Physical Therapy and the Division of Respiratory Therapy
- Nursing
The mission of the School of Nursing is to: educate nurse clinicians, practitioners, scholars, educators, leaders, and researchers; develop health-related community partnerships; and engage in research and other forms of scholarship.
- Nutrition
The Division of Nutrition offers undergraduate and graduate programs, including an Integrated/Coordinated Program that meets requirements for earning a graduate degree and taking the Registration Examination for Dietitians.
- Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is the health profession dedicated to rehabilitation or prevention of disability, injury and disease specifically related to movement and function of the neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems of the human body.
- Public Health
The Institute of Public Health at Georgia State University is a research and degree-granting graduate-level program dedicated to advancing the health of the public through training, research, and community service.
- Respiratory Therapy
The respiratory therapist works with all members of the health care team in identifying and solving problems of respiratory disease and disorders of the cardiopulmonary system.
- Social Work
The School of Social Work offers an accredited B.S.W. since 1981 and we began our leading edge M.S.W. program with its sole concentration in Community Partnerships in 1998.
