9/15/2009

The Center for Healthy Development received a $1.3 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support its National SafeCare Training and Research Center (NSTRC). The grant will support the evaluation of three coaching models that are used to train and support practitioners who provide parent-training to parents at risk for abuse and neglect. The research team, led by Daniel Whitaker, PhD, director of the NSTRC, will study and compare the results of provider coaching conducted by experts in NSTRC to provider coaching that is conducted by local practitioners who are trained by NSTRC.  Click here for the full press release.
